A collection of some of my favorite edits and collaborations.
In 2020, Miho Nonaka, took the silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics, propelling her to instant fame as she became one of the first Olympic medalists in history not only for the sport of climbing, but her native country as well. This film documents Miho's journey as she prepares to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
As part of Boa's push to "revolutionize the ski industry," with their new H+i1 Dial, we tapped into the dialed-in mindset of professional freeskier and K2 athlete, Sam Kuch. Through his own words, Sam gives insight to how he channels his own flow state before dropping into each line.
During his service in the U.S. Marine Corps, Recon Marine and Scout Sniper, Jonathan Blank, sustained injuries that resulted in the loss of both his legs. After his injury, Jonathan felt lost. Imbued with the thrill of the hunt from an early age, he rediscovers that same feeling on a Dall Sheep hunt through the rugged wilderness of the Northwest Territories. During this adventure, Jonathan is also reconnected with the same sense of brotherhood and camaraderie that he had while in the military.
Olympic medalist, professional freeskier, and actor, Gus Kenworthy, teamed up with Arapahoe Basin to "Ambush" unsuspecting skiers and snowboarders in one of Denver's carpool parking lots before they set out for a different ski resort, convincing them to hop on a bus to A-Basin for a legendary day. I was lucky enough to ski undercover as one of the ambushed skiers, as well as edit this fun and creative concept derived from the brains at Cactus.
Using a common theme around the love and art of the craft cocktail, we shared stories from various bars and owners/bartenders around Los Angeles, CA, as they shared their ethos behind what it means to serve other people. As a former bartender myself, these simple vignettes were personal in nature and a lot of fun to help spread the love for craft cocktails and the people that serve them.
Set in the Faroe Islands, Kat Bærentsen, shakes things up as an openly gay woman on an isolated island that's deeply rooted in its traditional lifestyles and culture. Kat is one of the two surfers on the islands. She grew up learning that the waters were a place for fishing and working. But now, she sees them as vast opportunities to play and be part of a young community building new outdoor culture.
Professional photographer and outdoor/adventure filmmaker, Renan Ozturk, pushes the limits of DJI's Mavic 3 before it's official launch day. Using the acrobatic talents of Andy Lewis, Renan and the Mavic 3 chase the fleeting light through Utah's giant cathedrals of rock formations.
This film goes behind the scenes of what it takes to succeed inside the world of car racing. From "a quarter-inch" of a change to assembling the necessary team and components, every decision matters as the stakes continue to rise.
